I am having one of those weeks where I can’t even find time to sleep, let alone blog. It’s a miracle that I am writing this right now, but I didn’t want to flake out on you guys. Maybe week 13 is my unlucky number for blogging? Next week will be better…always adjusting…sorry, I fell asleep for a minute. I’m awake now.
- Weigh-in: I’M DOWN SIX POUNDS TOTAL! That’s 1.2 pounds in a week. I don’t know how it happened. Oh wait, yes I do. I started snacking all the time. But you know, good snacks like almonds and cherry tomatoes and fruit and rice cakes. Basically, whenever I am hungry, I eat a little. Instead of starving myself between meals to make sure I don’t go over my calories. So bizarre. I think I am going to quit being so strict on my calories. I mean, I’ll still count, but maybe I won’t worry so much if I go over every day. Because obviously, this is working. For now, anyway.
- Exercise completed: I’ve come to the realization that there is no way I am going to make it to Pilates on Tuesday nights. It’s the only night of the week I’m not in class and I don’t feel like going anywhere, least of THE GYM. I’ll still try to make yoga on Saturdays, but I think I’m going to try the whole video thing for a while and see if that works. If only I wasn’t so freaking tired! I’ve still been running though, so that’s something.
- Splurge/Guilty Pleasure: Michael and I went out to eat a couple of times last weekend. I’m not sorry. I love dates with my husband and I love good food. DON’T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME. Overall, I think I’ve done pretty well this week.
- Success story: Being down 6 pounds total! That means I’m only 1 pound away from my 1st goal and 6 pounds away from my next goal. Halfway there. It feels good. I’m feeling so much better on a daily basis. Not just slimmer, but healthier. I can’t imagine how tired I would be without the eating decently and exercising.
- Recipes/photos:

These are yellow cherry tomatoes. First they freaked me out, now I’m addicted.
They’re super-sweet and delicious. I will be so sad when they go out of season.

Never thought I’d see the day that these would be “runner’s legs.” Also, my big feet.

Miemo says:
6 pounds total?! THATS AWESOME. Fall is making everyone’s schedule pretty busy isn’t it? Those tomatoes do look a little freaky. Then again I can only eat tomatoes chopped really tiny and hidden in my food. same goes for onions. Good luck with the next week!
Julie H. says:
Woohoo! Lucky week 13! Making progress is always a good thing; props to you friend!
Weigh-In: I am 1 stinkin’ pound away from my weight goal as of this morning!!! YAH!
Exercise Completed: Went on a few walks; still need to get consistently busy in this department.
Splurge: Football game snacks last weekend :)
Success: ONE POUND AWAY!!
I’d love to sign up for a hot yoga classes but they are SO expensive in the city. Maybe one day when I win the lottery!!! ;)
Beth says:
Scheduling is the bane of my existence too. I wish my YMCA offered my classes on the weekends. I’d be much more likely to go!
Awesome that you are down 6lbs. Keep working hard!
Nicole says:
So so proud of you! This process is so unique to the individual. It’s such a good feeling when you go with your gut on something and then you lose some of your gut. : )
I, too, have started snacking. MAINLY between breakfast and lunch and I think it is paying off. I don’t think feeling starved is healthy.
Hilary says:
ugh … I screwed up again and hit before replacing last week’s post with today’s. Sorry. *hanging head in shame*
Anyhow, those are some awesome legs!
Allison (With Faith and Grace) says:
Congrats on the weight loss! Woohoo!
Jill says:
6 lbs is awesome! Great job! :) And I’m not sorry when I eat out with my husband either. Least of all the time we ate at Texas Roadhouse last Friday :)
Tabaitha says:
Wow, 6lbs! Way to go! I have found that I eat more now than I did before and still losing weiight. Goes to show that nutrition is important. Nice runner legs!
