Pros & cons.

[+] We met our neighbors from a couple houses down on Sunday night. They walked by our house with their THREE (!) dogs, so of course we stopped them so we could get acquainted. Before we knew it, Pancho and Leia were outside, along with the golden retriever from across the street. It was a dog block party. Reason #34067 I love where we live. (PS: I fell in love with their tiny black Pomeranian, who is every bit as cute as he sounds and then some.)

[-] I have puppy fever. I’m not joking about being a crazy dog lady; I would have 15 dogs if I could. When we go to other people’s houses and everyone is chatting and having a great time? I’m in the other room making friends with the dog(s). Michael is “practical” and “logical” and won’t allow me to get another one. Most of the time I’m glad about this, since otherwise I would by now have picked up every stray in the world and be running a halfway home for dogs. But honestly, could a third dog be that much trouble?

[+] School starts in 6 weeks! I’m so excited to get back into it and start learning again.

[-] My summer is over in 6 weeks. While I miss school, I definitely don’t miss juggling work and school. I’m going to need a serious overhaul on my day planner + time management system.

[-] We didn’t find a work table for my office while thrifting on Saturday.

[+] We did find this little pink beauty, which needs a fresh coat of paint but is otherwise in great shape. I was thinking about white, but now I’m considering keeping it pink, except a fresher, prettier hue. It’s for my office, which also doubles as the guest room, and it will be used as a nightstand. I don’t really have a color “scheme,” since most of my stuff is thrifted and pretty eclectic. I think pink might work. And it was only $3.99! This is why I love thrifting.

we have three wiener dogs and honestly the third one does not make a difference. we started off with three, went to two (our big guy passed away). had two for over three years and now are back to three. two – three – four – no difference. i swear :) a big hello from texas. cute blog, i come by regularly.

Only $3.99?! Yay! At that price, even if you painted it another color, you could always paint it back. This is just the size item that my dad would use a can of spray paint for. I always thought he was crazy, but it is so much easier, haha. And yay for meeting neighbors! We’re not very talkative in my neighborhood….we need to get better about it! (Although my 85 year old neighbor knows everyone, since he walks his dogs 12 times a day)

Anytime I see a puppy I get puppy fever! One of things I’d love to do in my life? Have a farm where I can have loads of dogs. Lots of safe open (yet fenced) land, sleeping beds (I picture a barn with walkways for dogs and big cubby holes for them all) and me, taking care of them daily with food and water and baths and etc.

I so wish you lived near me so you could teach me your art of thrifting. Seriously. Love that table and I think a pink hue would be awesome for it :) Great find!

Ooh, I love that little table! It would be great in a fun colour.

I have the opposite of puppy fever. Every time I’m around one I want to be far away and I think about how I never want a pet, ever. There are very few exceptions. This probably makes me a horrible person.

First I must tell you that three dogs is a lot. It’s almost like the scene from Bridesmaids when she is like “I took 9, comfort level is probably more of a 6″. With that said, I have three dogs and a crazy midget cat. Love them all. They are a lot of work but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Um, we have puppies. Coincidence? I hardly think so.

Three dogs and you have a pack on your hands. I know from experience.
