An update from the new digs.

An update from the new digs.

Just to clarify, this is my living room, not an episode of Hoarders. Bonus points if you can spot Pancho in this photo. This was my view on Wednesday. It’s since improved. Slightly.

Anyway, remember me? The girl who used to blog here? I know, it’s been a week. I’ve been really busy, what with the packing up of my entire life and moving to a different state. I don’t have too much to say, other than we have arrived safely and are now trying to wade through the roughly one million boxes of stuff we own. The progress is slow, since I’m trying to figure out the new house with all of its closets and drawers. I’m very big on “a place for everything and everything in its place,” which may be why it’s taking me a bit longer than the average a normal person to unpack. I plan to hit it hard for the next three days and be done by Sunday evening. Here’s hoping.

I’ll be back Monday (or maybe Tuesday) with a report. So far, I really like the new house + city, I’m just pretty overwhelmed by what’s happened in the last few days. Living out of boxes isn’t helping with the stress of moving, that’s for sure. Oh well, nothing some hard work and new city exploration won’t cure.

Happy weekend!

Good luck w/ emptying boxes. I always seem to enjoy unpacking a heck of a lot more than packing, mostly because I’m crazy OCD and want to organize and re-organize everything. Yay for new experiences! :)

Pancho is on the far left sitting on the couch’s right arm.

Yay! Glad you are safe and sound. Send me pics once all the rooms are in order. I wanna see the new digs! Also on your to do list: find all the best places in your new town so you can show them all to me when I visit…which will e ASAP after I start this new job. I can’t wait to hear what LA has in store!!

I see Pancho! Trust me, this is not Hoarders-esque. It’s far too clean and isn’t stacked quite high enough to make it on Hoarders. You’ll get there ;) Moving is stressful for sure, just remember to breathe!!!

I see Pancho! He almost looks like a little teddy bear, hehe.

Love the living room! It looks as though you’ve got some amazing windows in the new place. That’s always a bonus! Can’t wait to see more!

Ohhh, I love “eye spy”! I found pancho, now it’s my turn…I spy your mac. ;)

I hope you are able to regain some sanity after your move. Can’t wait to hear your report/update next week!

I completely understand about unpacking and having a place for everything. I just had to do it at the beginning of the month. It was a challenge, especially since Adam was still working in a different city, and I had all the kids with me. Hoping it all comes together for your peace of mind. Enjoy exploring your new city!

Ever thought about building a cardboard theme park or arcade with all of those extra boxes?

I wish I could be there to help :(

Poncho does look like a Teddy bear, sitting above all items on the arm of the couch looking at his mommy. This does not look that bad…wait for the years and then take a picture of the next move. The bigger the house, the bigger the accumulation. Good job
