Another week has somehow passed and brought me that much closer to the end of our time in Texas and the beginning of the next chapter of our lives. We have next week + weekend; the following week, we will be moving. It seems like just yesterday I was blissfully unaware of all this, and now it is right in front of me.
1 // I have yet to pack a single box. I guess I should get on that.
2 // Our new house in Louisiana makes me positively giddy. I’ll post more photos later, but seriously, it is a tiny dream house. Here’s a sneak peek:

3 // Yesterday, Michael brought home a small box tied with a pink bow. Inside were these beautiful white gold earrings. He picked them out completely on his own and surprised me. It was his gift to me for all my hard work in helping him get through grad school. They are so gorgeous, I can already see them dressing up jeans and a t-shirt or complementing the perfect dress. They are diamond-cut, so they sparkle like crazy. I know, I’m spoiled — but I did work really hard! I love that I’ll always have these earrings to remind me of this special time.
4 // I can’t believe we only have a week left in this small East Texas town. I’ll definitely miss it, but I’m excited for the next adventure, especially when that adventure includes living in a city where there is a Target. Note to self: Try not to go nuts over the fact that there will now be a Sephora right down the road from you, instead of 1.5 hours away.
5 // Staying up late to work + blog never ends well for anyone, especially when your contacts become glued to your eyeballs, or you become ravenous by 12:30am. Guess I’ll try to go to sleep to prevent myself from foraging the kitchen like a rabid raccoon.

We move in two weeks and I’m about 10% packed. I work better under pressure, so it will probably all wait until next weekend. Which I’ll promptly regret, but it will have to get done. Good luck with the move! The bonus: you’re that much closer to NOLA, a great vacation spot.

The new house looks ADORABLE! I can’t wait to see more photos. My cousin moved to Louisiana (NOLA to be specific) with her fiance while he finished medical school and she absolutely fell in love with it. I’m sure this will be a great experience for you guys!

Love the nail polish. I have an obsession with keeping my fingernails and toenails painted. I haven’t had naked toenails since 7th grade. As I just celebrated my 10 year anniversary of my college graduation, this is impressive. I even wrote a blog post about it! Also, I started painting my daughter’s tootsies when she was about a year old!
