1 >> I just got home from my friend Andrea’s house. This woman is really amazing. She has 4 kids, homeschools the two oldest, runs a very successful gourmet cakes and catering business, and still finds time to have wine and artichoke dip (that she made!) with me and talk until after midnight about many, many thoughts and feelings. I love her. One day, she will guest post for me. Until then, read her blog: Goddess of Eats
2 >> It’s almost 1am on Friday. I have to be at work in 7 hours. Oddly enough, this is a new norm for me. I can’t remember the last time I went to bed before midnight.
3 >> There is a house across the street from mine that has a couple of frat guys living in it. They like to throw loud parties on weeknights. We have called the cops on them before. They’re having a loud party right now and I am THISCLOSE to calling the cops on them again. I guess this means I’m officially old, but DANG IT I have to work in the morning! Go to bed already!
4 >> There were parts of this week that made me think it would never end, but on the other hand, it feels like I blinked and suddenly, it was Friday. I’m not complaining. This weekend will be spent catching up on work (as always), cleaning my house and doing laundry (as always), and sleeping (as always). Wow, I am super exciting. Remind me why y’all are still reading?
5 >> I have a big announcement to make, but I’m not really sure how to do it. So I’ll spend the weekend thinking of ways to unveil this huge announcement. And no, I’m not pregnant. But 10 points to the person who can correctly guess what is going on and leave it in a comment. (Doesn’t count if you already knew!)
Happy weekend!

UHM Your moving to Lubbock?? Because that would be awesome. Btw I was 19 when I became the old lady yelling at neighbors for popping fireworks off their house at 1am the day AFTER fourth of July when my husband had to be at work the next morning at 6am and me at 7
Claire says:
I just drove by a really loud frat party with cars parked in the yard and people standing on the lawn and in the street. I nearly hit one with my car on accident because he fell into the street drunk. One word: classy. :/
Liz says:
I’m new to the blog, but going to take a wild guess that you are buying a house??!! Probably wrong…love your blog.
CookinwVictoria says:
lol I am such an old person too lol however I have never called the cops, just the HOA, a lot! BEWARE NEIGHBORS!!! lol when my husband moved into the house before the wedding he would complain about the neighbors letting their dogs out a 5 am, and they would bark ALL MORNING until the neighbors brought them in at 7 am, when he needed to wake up…not cool, so after the wedding and I experienced it, I contacted the HOA and THE NEXT DAY they were not out there at 5 am, but 7 am, which is better but have some common courtesy people!!! lol
Hmmm I am not sure what your secret is…..is it Michael is graduating from Grad School and you are going back to Grad School?????
Marlena says:
You know I’m a sucker for points. Unfortunately, I’m 99% certain I already know. THIS IS CRAP, LAUREN!
Jennifer says:
your giving me Poncho and Leia? Best news EVER!
Tabaitha says:
I’m guessing that since Michael is graduating soon, that he just got a new job and you are moving to a new city?

Ditto, I can’t remember the last time I went to bed before midnight. This is probably why I’m always getting sick because I’m not getting enough of sleep.
Chrissy (The New Me) says:
Yay announcements! I hope you are getting more dogs, but you are probably moving somewhere big and fancy.
Kayla Wiens says:
Ummm….you are getting the super cute miniature goats! I knew it!!! You need those!
Jill says:
I’ve also been the lady to call the cops on neighbors. My guess is you’ve received a promotion? I don’t really know…hmm.
