In the arms of the angel.

In the arms of the angel.

I’ve been known to be somewhat of a crier. I mean, when you get choked up over Kay Jewelers commercials (and I do, every damn time), you know you have a problem. And if it has to do with animals? Forget about it. Even cartoons about animals send me over the edge.

Therefore it should be no surprise that I, along with what I imagine to be about 99.99% of the population, cannot handle ASPCA commercials of any shape or form. I mean, seriously. Who are the people who can actually sit through these commercials?!? As soon as one comes on, I am frantically changing the channel and desperately holding back tears, usually with little success. I’ve even been known to yell from the other room to Michael, “IS THAT THE SAD ANIMAL COMMERCIAL? TURN IT OFF. I CAN HEAR THE MUSIC. I CAN SEE IT IN MY MIND.”

So of course, my sister found it completely appropriate to send me this video last night:

And in case that doesn’t sadden you enough, there’s this:

Totally pathetic.

  1. From Elizabeth:

I was really, really, really worried coming into this post because of your poor sick puppy tweets that I just saw!

I’m so glad y’all are okay!

  2. From Kayleigh:

You are no longer allowed to post sad lyrics next to a picture of Pancho. No, ma’am.

    • From Lauren from Texas:

I didn’t mean to scare anyone! I just needed a sad picture & Pancho provided that by looking extra pitiful. I changed the photo. ;)

  3. From Liz:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  4. From Andee Nero:

This summer, I was watching Rachel Maddow and she was like, “Hey guys, I have this super awesome hilarious video to show you so watch it right now!” And then she put on the ASPCA video. I’m pretty sure that video is the new “rick roll.” hahaha

  5. From Jon:

Yeah those commercials are so fake! and much more humorous than sad. Now a Unicef commercial would get me if the money wasn’t sent to a USA fund and never used for the children. Needless to say stay up late or watch AMC and you will get your fill of those kind of commercials.

  6. From Erin B. Inspired:

DEAD FROM CUTE. No, seriously. As a fellow Chihuahua lady that cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh. :)

  7. From lauryn:

Hahaha, the emoticons said it perfectly!

I change the channel as soon as those commercials come on. Can’t. Handle. It.
