{anniversary roses still looking beautiful}
- The ability and drive to pursue an education/career with the potential to help people.
- A husband who continually inspires, motivates, and loves me.
- Amazing friends, both near and far, both virtual and IRL.
- A family who, this year, has a lot on which to reflect and be thankful.
- A job with so many opportunities to do what I love and work with great people.
- New iPhones. Because, seriously. {Note: You can now follow me on instagr.am!}
- My dogs for making me laugh every single day.
- For the many, tiny blessings all around me, some that I don’t even notice.
- Mental health and the state of being in a good place. If you’ve been on the other side, you know this is a big one.
- Provision. Even though Michael and I are both in school, there is always food in our fridge, the bills are always paid, and we have money for a few fun things too. I know this is, in part, due to Michael working his tail off, but I also know that God has provided for us this year, and I’m thankful for that.
- This blog. I can’t describe myself and who I am without thinking about what this space and community means to me.
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

From Liz:
I just followed you on instagram <3
From Marlena:
I’m thankful for many things but most notably this year I keep telling God thank you for allowing me to celebrate with Carl. We haven’t been able to celebrate Thanksgiving together since 2007…when we lived in another state. Everything from grocery shopping for our feast to realizing I do not have the “we won’t be together” panic in my tummy…I am grateful.
From San:
That’s a great list, Lauren.
Happy Thanksgiving!
From Sarah Johnson:
Lauren! Having trouble subscribing to your blog in Google Reader under my new email address… I remembered you had mentioned there were some issues with reader; any ideas?
