So by now you might have figured out that I’m out of the country. Well, kind of. I’ve been in Canada (specifically Alberta) since Monday, helping my friend get ready for her wedding on Saturday. And by “helping my friend” I mean letting her buy me Tim Hortons coffee and Timbits and in return filling out her seating chart. We have a great friendship going on.
This week is flying by and I’m a little sad about how close we are to Saturday. It will be wonderful to see Corlene marry the man of her dreams, but it will also be sad because then she will leave me and fly to Hawaii! She didn’t even have the decency to invite me to go with her! And after everything I’ve done for her! Think of the SEATING CHART, Corlene!
In the meantime, I’ll keep helping her and drinking Double-Doubles whenever I have the opportunity. I am also holding out hope for a Justin Bieber sighting. Anything is possible here in the Great White North…eh? (See, I’m practically Canadian, y’all!)

Comments on O Canada!
From Desi:
I just moved to Calgary this past year because that’s where my husband is from! I’m just curious where in Alberta you are….and I swear they have crack in Tim Horton’s coffee, mmmm.
From Café Moka:
Welcome in Canada!
I live in Québec! (and my little city is actually on the map you chose! North-East of Québec, Sept-Iles!)
From Holly:
Welcome to Canada :D I live in Alberta too – hope you’re enjoying your visit! Tim Horton’s coffee is disgusting – I prefer Second Cup :)
From Tabaitha:
Yum, I love Tim Horton’s coffee!
From Marlena:
For the record, I love your posts when you’re around Corlene. You’re so happy. However, I am jealous that you’re in CANADAAAAAAAAAAAA and I am not. I am also jealous that you are able to walk outside without dying. All that said, I hope the wedding is beautiful!
From CookinwVictoria:
Yay! I am glad you are having a great time! How rude of her not to invite you Hawaii! lol I just got a 35% off coupon for some hotels and a rental car there so you can take my coupon…oh and me too! I want to go back so bad!!!!
I also watched “Just Go With It” the day the coupon came in the main, MAJOR TORTURE!
From Rachel:
Welcome to Canada! I also live in Alberta…in Calgary. Hope you are enjoying your time here and I hope you get to see the beautiful mountains!! (I also love Tim Hortons double doubles!)
From Kara:
As a Canadian who’s never seen Justin Beiber, I’m pretty sure he’s a mystical creature up here. Enjoy our beautiful country though! :)
From Mary:
I love the map! Never seen one with so much Canadian detail and a blank US. I admit it’s a little humiliating, but in a good, stretching kind of way.
From sarahdotcom:
Hah, welcome to the GWN, LfT, where timbits are a food group of their own.
Hope you’re having the best stay, and have the most amazing day tomorrow! :)
From Garnet:
Oh, Canada! We actually had a Tim Horton’s in my town up until a few months ago! I miss those timbits!
Have so much fun at the wedding!!!
