So this is what 2 years of blogging looks like.

Happy 2nd blogiversary, LfT!

(Okay, so I may or may not have gone a little overboard on picnik.)

First, if you’re looking at this blog through a reader, click thru! This new design has been a long time in the works. A HUGE thanks goes to David, who spent much of his Easter weekend working on this fantastic new look for le blog. If you only knew what it was like to work with me (think perfectionist + indecisive + a tiny bit crazy), you would send him a batch of cupcakes. Or beer, I hear he likes that too. Please bear with me/us for the next few days as we are tweaking and making changes. And now, onto some celebrating!

Over the last two years, people have stumbled upon LfT in a variety of ways: links on other blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and of course, The Google. Here are some of the most obscure searches leading to a click on LfT:

So…yeah. I have a lot to be proud of.

I was also going to list my top 10 most popular posts according to my WordPress stats, but I honestly didn’t agree that those posts were my best work. So I delved deep into my heart and found that truly self-absorbed place, the one I visit occasionally after a couple of glasses of wine and think “I am EXACTLY LIKE CARRIE BRADSHAW OR MAYBE MAYA ANGELOU,” and picked my favorite posts from the last two years.

My top posts, according to me, are as follows:

For funny:

1. Appendixes make great finger puppets.

2. Mice tears (like crocodile tears, but more sincere).

3. The Dirty South.

4. Twi-likeicare (but maybe I kind of do).

5. KILLA BEES.

For serious:

1. Ranting on a pink soapbox.

2. Running through it.

3. Anthem.

So this is what happens when a girl decides to start a blog one day and somehow sticks to it (albeit less than perfectly) for two years. Wow. It’s hard to imagine my life without LfT…and without y’all. You have seen me through some serious things in the last 2 years, and I honestly do not want to think about what the last 2 years would have been like had I not discovered this incredible community of people.

All of this to say: I love you guys! Please don’t go anywhere, because I’m not. Let’s hug!
