Lately I’ve been thinking about returning to blonde for the summer. The brunette/red and I had a good 6 month run, and in true form, I was ready for another change. This idea was extremely exciting to Michael, since his favorite hair color on me is blonde. When I sent a text to my stylist, she told me it might take a couple of times before I returned to my former blonde self. I was okay with that, since strawberry blonde was yet another color for me to try. {One day, I will try them all. Except maybe black. Goth Lauren might be a little scary.}
Yesterday, I went in as a redhead and came out as a strawberry blonde. I love the result and think it’s perfect for spring and early summer. I decided to throw on a sundress and do a little spring fashion shoot.

dress: given to me; shoes: KEDS; aquamarine necklace: birthday gift from Michael {!!}

Comments on Strawberry.
From Kristina:
I love this color on you….this is my favorite so far :) Keep this one for a while!!!
I haven’t colored my hair for over 6 years…my hair is now natural. My hair is a dark brown with natural highlights (I can’t complain)
From SimplySarahJ:
Looks good! I have NEVER colored my hair! Sometimes I’m envious because I like changing things up. When I saw your title, I immediately started singing that “Strawberry Wine” song- that’s not really related to anything, though, except the word strawberry.
From tillie:
I LOVE this color!!!!!! So perfect for you.
From Laurie:
I have lots of shades of color in my hair and thus haven’t ever colored it. You are absolutely gorgeous with every single hair color you choose. GORGEOUS.
From Erin B. Inspired:
Lauren, it looks great! I love it. :)
From Stefanie:
Love the hair, love the dress, love the shoes! Love everything! (Isn’t that a line out of My Best Friends Wedding?!) I’m glad you’re enjoying your new job btw. It sounds fun!
From Heather:
I’m so glad you do a drastic change like that at a salon instead of doing it yourself!
It looks beautiful! The strawberry blonde really looks nice with your skin tone. You look gorgeblonde thing a few years ago. I recommend clarifying shampoo to help strip out the red, Clairol shimmer lights to help make the blonde stand out more, and a twice a week deep condish so it stays healthy!
From Tabaitha:
It looks great. Like you, I like to experiment with hair colors. I don’t do it as much as I used. With my sister being a hair stylist, I have tried everything. Growing up I was a natural dirty blonde. It got darker as I got older. So I would highlight it. I’ve had really blonde, dark blonde, brunette, Auburn, Cherry Red, and yes Black. I actually liked the black because it looked good with my eyes, but it was just too dark during the winter when my skin wasn’t exposed to much sunlight.
From Angie:
I am ALWAYS changing my hair color AND length! I started out as a dark brown brunette, with waist length hair. At 16, I chopped my hair (or more like, my mom did due to my request) to shoulder length and kept the color.
The sun naturally turned it light brown.
At 18, I was flying out to meet my fianceé for the first time face-to-face (we were dating long distance, met online!) and I asked my sister for a LITTLE TRIM. She gave me an ear-length bob that looked horrible and she also curled it. I looked like a poodle. Oh well.
I let me hair grow a bit, though I never went waist length again. I also kept the same color. Early 2010 I died my hair a hay blonde. I kept the color until September, when I went blood red. I kept the blood red until November, when I went pitch black!
Earlier this year, I think in February, I had Jen (my now wife! Yes, she was the one I flew out to meet!) cut my hair to a chin length bob a la Cortana from HALO! It’s now black with red highlights.
I love every color I’ve had. I’ve been told I look FANTASTIC with all of them. Jen would like to see my natural color again and I have to agree, so I’m growing the black out! ^_^
From Delia:
Love the hair color…and the shoes!
From Heather:
YES! YES! I LOVE that color on you. I have plans to dye my own locks that exact same strawberry blond shade. Appointment set for end of April. I can’t wait! Would you mind if I printed out one of these pictures to show her? You look SO darn pretty in that dress. GREAT hair color on you. :-)
From ashleyTIA:
Um…I don’t think it’s fair for one person to take up all the pretty in the world. Save some for the rest of us! ;)
From Katie:
First of all, your hair grows SUPER fast!! I’m jealous as I’ve been growing mine for 2 years and it’s just about to your length.
LOVE the strawberry blond! Like you with the black, I could never go blond, it just wouldn’t look right on me but I’m still loving the red stage I’m in right now. Hubs says it matches my personality… ;)
From Suburban Sweetheart:
Cute, cute, cute! My hair has basically been the same (from-a-bottle) color for half a decade. I AM BORING.
From Meghan:
Oh my gosh, SO SO cute!! Keep this one for a while – it’s a PERFECT color for you :)
From Amanda:
I love it! My hair is naturally a kind of dirty blonde, and for YEARS I highlighted it up to a “real” blonde. Then, facing an extended stay overseas, I decided I couldn’t be bothered with the upkeep highlighting requires (yikes, roots) so I died it a dark brown and let it fade out. For about 3 years now, it’s been totally natural. I’ve been playing with the idea of coloring it again, but I’m a little nervous about it. We’ll see :)
From Amanda:
yikes, and by died CLEARLY I meant dyed. Shame.
From Caryn:
LOVE IT! I almost didn’t recognize you! I loved the red but this is totally adorbs for the Summer (or longer). Light, fun and shouts easy going and happy! I could never pull of strawberry blonde. Love that you can reinvent yourself with just a color change. Keeps life spicy! I’m too chicken to dye my hair!
From Meg O.:
LOVE LOVE LOVE that. So gorgeous and well pulled off! You are so brave when it comes to your hair color!
From Katie:
You look fantastic! I love that color on you
From Marlena:
Sooo pretty. Even better than the red and I love that cut on you too!
From Manderz:
This is a gorgeous colour on you.
From Brittney:
Oh my, I home color or home highlight or home correct crazy things all the time. I probably need to stop, lol! Going from red to blonde took me a few stages as well, going the same route your hairdreser has taken.
I do always end up missing the blonde, though, and back I go! Tomorrow I’m actually caving and seeing a real hairdresser because I went a LITTLE brassier than I’d have liked in my latest adventure, and decided to treat myself to someone ELSE making it right, lol.
From laura:
This so far is the BEST I think your hair color has been! I love this color! Looks great on you!
From Mendy:
I LOVE that hair color on you. It looks fantastic! You are now ready for the Easter Bunny and Spring!
From Ashley:
Love it! You look amazing.
From Liz:
#1. Every time you do your hair is my new favourite.
#2. Please do more outfit posts. I demand it.
#3. Pancho IS a total creeper.
#4. I miss you. A LOT.
From lori:
hey laur, i really like the new shade! So pretty!
From Jill:
i really REALLY like your hair!! thanks for all your help when my hair turned a ridic shade of black (update on that: it’s now starting to turn red. oy vey)
From Jenn:
Wow, the blonde looks stunning on you!
From Amy:
This is a great colour on you! Lucky you, it seems like you can pull off any hair colour well. I used to put blonde highlights in my hair and lighten it pretty frequently, but I’ve stopped and always say I won’t dye it again until I have to b/c of grey.
From jimaiemarie:
oh gosh, I LOVE this color on you! You are so gorgeous and I’m pretty sure any color you try will look amazing on you- lucky girl!!
From Sharalynn:
Lauren I love it! It looks great for spring and totally a fun transition to blonde. You can get away with SO many colors… gorgeous gal, but I say I love you the most blonde! AS you know, I love playing with color too, I find I have to reel myself in somedays, same with cuts. But I’m sticking to long and blonde to grip to my youth before it looks desperate!
From Sabrina:
I like it a lot. It looks like you’ve got pink streaks. V. chic!
From kyla:
So cute! I love that you’ve changed it up- brunette was really beautiful on you, but you are a bombshell as a blonde. The strawberry blonde is amazing! I’m starting to think that since I’m always playing with colour and needing cuts I’m just going to start having my stylist do everything instead of DIYing it with the box dye. The results are so pretty, and I think you just convinced me!
From Molly:
It must be rough being so lovely.
From Leslie:
adorable!
