Today is my husband’s birthday. I’m so glad he was born 32 years ago. Michael is amazing for a lot of reasons, so I thought I’d list 32 of the reasons I love him so much.
- He always calls me to ask if I need anything while he is out.
- He makes me tea every morning.
- If it is really cold, he will pull my car around and turn on the heater for me before I leave for work.
- He (almost) always lets me pick the movies we watch, even though I repeatedly make bad choices.
- He does the dishes all the time.
- He always makes the bed and folds the towels.
- He can quickly make me smile or laugh, no matter how upset or stressed I am.
- He shamelessly walks/runs our two tiny (probably not very manly) dogs.
- He tells me I look beautiful/hot every morning before I leave for work.
- He listens when I explain the plot to the book I’m reading, even though he could probably care less.
- He writes me ridiculously adorable poems for our anniversary.
- He deals with the crazy. Enough said.
- He encourages me daily and never fails to tell me I am doing a good job.
- Whenever I ask him if a celebrity is pretty, he says “Not as pretty as you.”
- He talks to me about our future children often.
- His ringtone for me is Brad Paisley’s “She’s Everything.”
- He has an exceptionally cute butt.
- He is my own personal Matthew McConaughey.
- He inspires me to be a better person: to exercise, to be more organized, and to stay positive.
- He is not afraid to say he’s sorry; likewise, he is very forgiving.
- He wears cowboy boots on a regular basis. SEXY.
- He has excellent taste in jewelry.
- He always offers to give me back rubs, even though he usually has an ulterior motive.
- Once, he was in the car with my sister and Zac Brown Band’s song “Whatever It Is” came on, and he told her that it was his song for me.
- He takes care of all the upkeep on my car: oil changes, car washes, vacuuming the seats, etc.
- He thinks I look like Kate Bosworth and Julia Roberts.
- He makes up words.
- He likes all of the 47 hair colors I’ve had.
- He worked extremely hard so we could move out of a house that was unsafe and giving me serious anxiety into our current house because he knew it would make me happy.
- He makes amazing sloppy joes.
- He is a genuinely kind and caring person.
- Whenever I think about our future: our careers, the homes we will have, our children, and all the experiences ahead of us, I’m so thankful he’s the one.
