I’ve been looking for a pair of skinny jeans to wear with boots for approximately 47 years, but haven’t been able to find any that don’t make me look like J.Lo with toothpicks for legs. Not too long ago, I noticed someone tweeting about Jean Straps, & was intrigued. I could wear my regular jeans tucked into boots without readjusting constantly?? Yes please! So I emailed Jean Straps to ask if they would be interested in a review, & they agreed. Last weekend I decided to put them to the test.
The concept of Jean Straps is that you attach them to the bottom of any pair of jeans, virtually turning them into stirrup pants, and they keep your jeans tucked snugly into your boots.

The last time I wore stirrup pants was when I was about 12. I wore them with a side ponytail, an oversized T-shirt, and bedazzled Keds. I don’t really want to talk about it.

I just solved the Mystery of Bigfoot! She lives in my bathroom.

Sorry about the terrible lighting in my bathroom, it’s my least favorite thing in life. I’m always all “Did I just put on blush or eyeliner?” Anyway, you get the general idea.
So I wore them Friday evening & all day Saturday. Friday night they were perfect & I never even noticed they were there. I loved that I didn’t have to mess with my jeans. Usually I’m tucking/pulling/tugging/sweating/really close to taking my pants off & calling it a day. Saturday they got a little uncomfortable while shopping & walking for a long time, but that was probably because the jeans I wore were a little on the short side so the straps were slightly pulling on my arches. Also my boots are comfortable but maybe not comfortable enough to wear for 12 hours straight.
At the end of Friday night, everything is still intact! Jean Straps = success!

Pancho & Leia love Jean Straps!
My verdict is: if you don’t own/love skinny jeans, and/or you want to wear your normal jeans tucked into boots, buy a set of Jean Straps. They’re really reasonably priced (only $9.99!). I plan on trying them out with my cowboy boots when I go to the Rodeo in March. Yeah girl!
Note: Jean Straps sent me a complimentary pair of straps to review. No monetary compensation was received for this post.

ooh these are a fantastic idea! I feel like a Jonas Brother in my skinny jeans…
From stefanie:
How cool! I have never heard of jean straps.
From Kari Anne:
Cool! I will have to get a pair for my daughter and I… She loves her skinny jeans, but like you, she still has to adjust them and it pisses my 9 year old off like CRAZY!! Thanks for the info!!
From sarah:
I caved and bought skinny jeans.
I think Jean Straps look like those things you can put on the corners of your fitted sheets to make sure they don’t slide around.
From Kyla Roma:
Cute idea! I just pin mine at the back if I’m having trouble…but I don’t struggle with this because I own mostly skinny jeans because I’m such a relentless hipster at heart lol
From rachel:
these might be the most genius things ever. i’m buying them immediately!
From Leia:
Great review! Jean Straps just sent me a pair to try out and I can’t wait to review them. Also, hilarious that one of your dogs is named Leia! That’s my name!! :P
From Jill:
I think I need some of these…except I read at their site “not recommended with boot cut jeans.” Basically every pair I own. So I guess I need new jeans too. Poop.
From Tabaitha:
That is a great concept!
From Desiree:
Does anyone notice that the buckle hook things poke ur feet when in ur foots …besides that work good but ouch!
From Lindsay:
I definitely need those. I want to tuck my jeans into boots, but skinny jeans aren’t very flattering on me.
From car:
Dude!!! I don’t want, I need jean straps now!!! I have cute boots, but no jeans to wear with them!!
From jenferlouise:
Love this! Just may have to get a pair, myself!
From Suburban Sweetheart:
Oh, awesome. I NEED THESE. Thanks for the review.
Also, thanks for being so skinny that you make me hate myself. Effff.
But mostly, thanks for the review. ;)
From Nora:
What a great idea! I like skinny jeans and have two pair that work for me BUT I have a ton of other jeans that I wish would fit into my boots so I may have to check this out. Ingenious idea.
I think I need cowboy boots next. I may have to come visit you to find a good pair. And I still need some ideas on where to start in terms of country music. =)
From Randa @ The Bewitchin' Kitchen:
Those are too cool!
From itsmekatie:
Thanks for this review. :) I bought them after seeing this.. can’t wait! Attempting to keep jeans inside my boots pretty much ruins it for me.
From Natasha:
Thanks for the review, but those clip things rubbed and were uncomfortable. I found Boot Bands work well. They are better because there are no clips that can rub. They are straps that wrap around the ankle and hold jean in place so they don’t bunch up when you put your boot on.

WOW. I really am old. I’m 61 years old and used to wear stirrup pants and these straps were popular way back then. Now I’m wearing my jeans in my boots…yes just like the youngins…and lo and behold here they are again!!!
