It’s Thursday night. Did you hear me? IT’S THURSDAY NIGHT. That means right now I am watching the Office. It also means tomorrow is Friday and then it’s the weekend! Furthermore, I can now eat solid foods. SOLID FOODS! This is almost too much excitement for one post! I ate two grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch yesterday. TWO. And today I ate a Classic Combo from Chick-fil-A, and I don’t know that anything has ever tasted so delicious. Since I am in such a good mood, what with the SOLID FOODS and everything, let’s play “Something Old | Something New”!
A few weeks ago, I got my hair done, and only posted one measly picture. BUT WAIT, then I made high and lofty promises of posting more pictures! Well, here they are. Better late than never.
Here’s what I wore today. I actually took these pictures a little while ago. It’s after 9pm and I have had a LONG day. I probably looked better earlier, before I was overwhelmed by fatigue and my makeup started to smudge. But guess what? I didn’t take pictures earlier. Deal with the fatigued smudginess.
I had a couple of appointments today, so I am a little more “dressed up” than usual. I think you know a) you work from home, and b) you should probably get dressed up more often (or maybe just take a shower daily) when you get semi-dressed up and your husband FREAKS OUT and won’t stop commenting on how good you look and/or following you all over the house trying to make out with you. Not that that happened to me or anything.
This is my new favorite hair style. It takes about 5-15 minutes, depending on if my hair is wet or dry. Either I use a blow drier or let it air dry, then take a curling iron with a big barrel (2″ I think) and curl all the layers under. Yesterday night, for my mom’s birthday dinner, I parted it down the middle and flipped my bangs out. I wish I would have taken a picture. My brother said: “Your hair looks good. Did you do something different? It looks like Farrah Fawcett. Isn’t she the one who died?”
Here’s a better picture of the layers. So easy to work with! When I’m in a hurry, I let it air dry and spritz a little John Frieda Dream Curls Curl Perfecting Spray to bring out the waves.
I topped my sleeveless blue turtleneck and brown pinstriped pants with a goldish cardigan for my appointments. It was a little chilly today and I thought it looked more “professional.”
Note: I am in desperate need of a camera. Photo Booth and iPhone pictures are only getting us so far.
Come to think about it, nothing about this outfit is new, except my haircut, and even that is about a month old. However, I would like to point out my fabulous diamond earrings; they were a Christmas present from Michael for our 2nd Christmas. I love it when jewelry has meaning or marks a milestone.
Speaking of milestones (worst segway/segue ever), is it just me, or has The Office been HILARIOUS this season? “DON’T CALL MY MOTHER YOUR LOVER!”

Do you typically look this cute in your house? Because I’m telling you, just between us, I change out of my professional financial hero clothes AS SOON as I get in the door. I’m talking do not sit down, do not get a drink from the kitchen….things start flying off when I shut the door. IF I’m wearing pants they’re of the pajama variety and most of the time I’m just wearing Carl’s shirt. Right now I have some super sexy zit cream on my left cheek too.

Scrubs are pretty much the equivalent of working from home attire. David goes to extreme lengths to point out when I put on something nice and more than just basic makeup.

The Office is definitely on a roll this season. I loved the Jim & Pam wedding episode.
And even though we don’t have Chick-Fil-A’s in Massachusetts (I don’t think) I’ve heard it is incredible. We just got a Sonic and I’ve been waiting for the crowds to die down before I make my pilgrimage. There have been consistent one hour waits since it opened.
