My weekend, in Technicolor.

This evening has been spent diligently working on a guest post for Kyla Roma, so tonight’s post will have to be a little picture-dense and word-light, but I do want to hit the highlights from my weekend. It’s been a good one (finally!).

My Friday began with getting off work early to take these guys to the vet:

Pancho

Leia

Then I met up with some lovely ladies, Cio & Kayleigh, for a carb-a-licious dinner at Macaroni Grill. We decided to catch a late movie (Kayleigh talked us into The September Issue, which was FABULOUS), and we had about an hour to kill, so we went to Ross to shop for decor for Cio’s new apartment. Kayleigh found these baby elephants, and they were just TOO CUTE. I was all, “OK, who is buying them? ONE OF US HAS TO.” Alas, none of us stepped up to the elephant plate, but we did get some pictures.

Then we went to the theater, and decided to take pictures with my iPhone in the dark. Because we’re super cool like that.

Lauren & Cio

Cio: “It looks like I’m wearing sunglasses indoors.”

Lauren: “No, it just looks like they’re transition lenses.”

And then we almost wet ourselves laughing so hard.

Lauren & Kayleigh

Here you have Lauren, half of Kayleigh’s face, oh yeah, and a random dude who was the only other person in the movie besides us. I mentioned the movie was a fashion documentary, right? Just checking.

The next day, I cleaned my house and did some laundry. Pancho helped me fold towels.

Then I had a hot date with this extremely sexy man:

Lauren & Michael

And we had Mexican food:

Then came home to do some damage on these:

Today was my brother-in-law’s 24th birthday, so we celebrated in the best way we know how: Got together and stuffed our faces.

Mac & Cheese

Bread & Butter

I also got to see my little brother, who wins the award for The Person Who Looks The Most Like Cat Stevens:

Jonathan

That’s my t-shirt from high school, and it makes me so happy that he’s wearing it. Like ridiculously happy.

Lauren & Jonathan

Love them.

My beautiful little sister & me:

My sister & her husband, aka The Birthday Boy:

Katherine & Jon

This is what 25 years of marriage looks like. Love you Mom & Dad.

Mom & Dad

Momma & me, trying not to have double chins.

Lauren & Mom

When Pancho & Leia come with us to my parents’ house, they become outside dogs, and they don’t really know how to handle it.

This is my sister’s dog, Charlee. We thought it would be funny to see what she would look like with long hair. Oh and it was.

So there you have it. My weekend in pictures. It was every bit as delightful as it looked. I need to do the Shred about 50 times this week to make up for all the food I ate, but it was worth it. OK, time to make my to-do list for the upcoming week… why do weekends seem to FLY by?

Okay, first off, your brother totally does look like Cat Stevens….that’s too funny!

The mexican food looked yummy!!! Good God, I can’t remember the last time we went out for mexican food.

Your family is beautiful…sounds like you have an amazing relationship with your mom. My mom and I? Not so much!

  3. From DebbieQ:

    Oh the dogs are adorable!

And I am totally envious of the Blue Bell ice cream. Here in the frozen north I cannot get it and it makes me sad, so sad. It was one of our favorite things when I was in college.

  4. From Kapachino:

What is with brothers and their beards? My youngest brother has a perpetual overgrown beard as well.

Your family is gorgeous and you couldn’t have a double chin if you tried!

  5. From Kyla Roma:

You have such a beautiful family, puppies included! Thank you for the guest post, and sorry for tearing you away from your post- but I’m excited for it to go up next week, you’re a doll! <3

  6. From Erin:

Bennie & Judy are the best, seriously. And what the heck? Little brother looks like he is 30 years old. He’s still adorable.

  7. From katyhelena:

  8. From Chelsea Hurst:

90% of all pictures of you either have food in them or you’re in the car.

Glad you’re alive. I’m alive too. We sucked at communication this weekend.

  12. From Joe:

Who doesn’t love a picture post? It’s like getting lost in Facebook-stalker land for an hour. Why else do people put 3,000 pictures of themselves on there? Glad you had a great weekend after the previous two.

  13. From Kristin:

Your post has made me ridiculously hungry!

  14. From Deva84:

aww you have nice family /they look as they’re all very nice/ and I need to ask this question how you stay THAT slim after eating this food??? I would have dieting for a week after an evening like that. Life is so unfair!

thank you for your words about my girl. she’s fine right now. no attacks so we hope/pray/think it was just an one time accident. Hopefully.

    bisous. deva.

  15. From mandy:
